Our goal is to communicate on a monthly basis with the membership and interested parties about recent past and upcoming events, program updates, and general information about how CalFlowers is engaging in the industry on behalf of the membership.

2016 Member Meetings Well Attended
CalFlowers held its bi-annual Member Meetings in August. Guests were treated to a Member Appreciation Lunch where they could catch up with the local members from the area. Thanks to FedEx for sponsoring the Member Appreciation lunches again this year.
The meetings were a big success with a combined total of 127 attendees for the three meeting locations. Michael LoBue, CalFlowers CEO, kicked off each meeting with a state of the Association report that included goals for 2016/2017 and an overview of the Association's recent successes.
 Attendees were then invited to participate in two round table discussions of their choice. Each session went for 20 minutes, and the topics were: 2017 Fun ‘N Sun; Transportation and Related Issues; and Promotions & Marketing. See 2016 Annual Meetings for the list of topics discussed at the round table discussions.
The Member Meetings ended with an hour long vendor reception where attendees met face-to-face with our Associate Service Members to discuss business and get more information on their services.
Alaska Airlines raffled off two round trip tickets at each location, and CalFlowers gave a $50 gift card to three lucky members for participating in a short survey.

CalFlowers To Send Quick Surveys To Members
 CalFlowers plans to start sending out quick surveys to its members from time to time in order to collect information to help better serve our Members.
There will be approximately five surveys sent throughout the year on several different topics that will not take more than three minutes to complete. We value your input and ideas.

- If you haven’t already, now is a great time to start getting familiar with our CalFlowers website (www.cafgs.org). There is a wealth of information there that can answer many of the questions you have regarding transportation or anything else your association is doing. Rates, program info, contacts and events are just a few examples of what is available to members. It’s easy too, just login with your username and password and that’s it. If you need help logging in or forgot your password, please contact our office for assistance.
- As you may have seen, CalFlowers has recently launched the FedEx IPD program. This program is tailored to our wholesale members and allows fast 3 day airport to door import of product from Colombia and Ecuador. Our program offers excellent rates and a special two box minimum.
