Pacific Tradeworks

Pacific Tradeworks is a cut floral greens shipper located in the great Pacific Northwest. The company was founded by Mike Figliola in 2006. After many years of working within the floral trade in California, Texas and South Florida. Mike returned to his home state of Washington in mid-2005. Shortly thereafter he started his greens company.

Western greens, such as Salal, Beargrass, Huckleberry and Moss, to name a few, are very popular worldwide. Pacific Tradeworks picks, packs and ships all these items to the wholesale floral trade. Pacific Tradeworks sells to clients all over the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Salal is by far the most popular seller from their region. The salal season is just getting started now, mid-July. The season usually runs from July through late May. When pre-ordered, storage is available during the off season as well.

During the winter holiday season Pacific Tradeworks shifts gears to Christmas evergreen products. Mike (pictured right) couldn’t have started a more appropriate floral business in Washington. Washington’s nickname is “The Evergreens State”. Evergreen trees are not deciduous and therefore do not lose their leaves hence the term “evergreen trees”. The many evergreen fir and pine trees in Washington make green a symbol of color for Washington which is also represented by the dominant green color in the state flag.  Christmas evergreens are abundant in this region.   Noble fir, Douglas fir, Cedar (many varieties) and Pine are harvested for Pacific Tradeworks wreath, garland and bulk material sales for wholesale clients nationwide.

Pacific Tradeworks works hard to keep their clients satisfied with great quality, fare pricing, honesty, integrity and customer service. If you’re looking for a western, and/or Christmas greens shipper please give the folks at Pacific Tradeworks a call. They would be honored to be a part of your success.

Transportation

  1. Armellini has just announced that beginning July 1, 2017, they will begin offering services to Washington and Oregon.  Armellini strategically acquired Direct Trucking, which will allow them a quick and smooth entrance into that area and begin offering quality products and services to local customers.  For more information on this new development, please call Armellini’s Customer Center Department at (888) 235-4723.
  2. Big news from our newest shipping partner, Golden State Overnight.  GSO has expanded D2D operations from four to seven states.  As of May 15, GSO is now servicing Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.  This new expansion now brings GSO’s service area to CA, NV, AZ, NM, OR, WA, and ID.   Our program will now include these new states and prices will remain the same.  The only change is in terms of delivery times.  OR, WA, and ID will be classified as 2-day service (depending on origination) so shippers will need to pack boxes accordingly.  For more information on GSO and our program expansion, please visit our website, www.cafgs.org or contact Chris Johnson directly at [email protected].
  3. As you may have seen, the CalFlowers / FedEx International Priority Distribution (IPD) program is progressing nicely. This program is tailored to our wholesale / ecommerce members and allows fast 3-day airport-to-door import of product from Colombia and Ecuador. Our program offers excellent rates and a special two-box minimum.  Other special waivers apply, and members just need to contact Chris Johnson at (760) 533-5580 or [email protected] to inquire.
