Jeanne Boes
General Manager & COO, San Francisco Flower Market

Jeanne Boes assumed the role of General Manager and COO of the San Francisco Flower Mart in 2017, after serving as the Director of Communications for the Flower Mart from June 2009. She still shoulders many of the communication responsibilities. Jeanne has spent the last twenty plus years in the floral industry, working in operations, marketing and communications.


 

Robin van der Schaaf
Regional Sales Manager, 2Plant

Robin van der Schaaf immigrated from Holland in 1994 to start working for Sun Valley Floral Farms in Arcata, CA. There, he oversaw the Freesia program and several miscellaneous crops.

In 1996 Robin moved to Southern California and became the warehouse and quality control manager for Flamingo Holland Inc. (A Flower bulb import company). Few years later he filled a sales position and serviced many of the Cut flower growers on the West coast. His last 15 years with Flamingo he was their General Manager. Currently he is working for 2Plant which is a company supplying lilies, callas, and a large variety of perennials to wholesale growers across North America. 

Robin is married and has two beautiful young children. 


 

Marc Robinson

Marc Robinson
Farm Liaison/Marketing Manager, Delaware Valley Floral Group Inc.

Marc Robinson is working for Delaware Valley Floral Group in Oxnard, CA. He has 35+ years of floral industry experience in sales, marketing, production and logistics. Marc has worked in wholesale, mass market, and e-commerce channels in the industry. His experience will complement an already strong board in efforts to implement initiatives that CalFlowers has planned for 2018-2019.

Ivor Van Wingerden
Manager, Ocean Breeze Farms

Ivor Van Wingerden is the manager of operations for Ocean Breeze Farms in San Luis Obispo County. He oversees the Oriental Lily, Asiatic Lily, and Hydrangea and Gerbera programs for Ocean Breeze and also farms Hass avocados. Ivor graduated from UC Berkeley in 2005 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He was one of the youngest members to complete the California Agricultural Leadership Program in 2009. He lives in Arroyo Grande with his wife Brooks and three daughters.

Frank Biddle
President and Owner, Francis Biddle International, Inc. (FBI Flowers)
Owner / CEO of Tradewinds International, LLC 

Frank Biddle is the president and owner of Francis Biddle International, Inc. (FBI Flowers) as well as owner and CEO of Tradewinds International, LLC.  Biddle has been in the flower business since 1987. Frank has extensive experience in growing, shipping and import consolidation, and travels extensively throughout California, South America, Mexico and Africa to stay connected with his friends in the industry. Frank lives in Del Mar, California with his wife Jennifer and two sons Joseph and George. When not in the office, Frank enjoys surfing, biking and hiking the hills of East County with his bird dog Remi.


 

Joost Bongaerts
President & CEO, Florabundance, Inc. & Garden Roses Direct

Joost began his professional career in 1981 marketing fresh cut flowers from Holland for The Dutch Flower Auctions & Exporters Organizations, first in Holland and then in Livonia, MI. From 1983 to 1991 Joost worked for several Dutch Flower Bulb Companies selling flower bulbs and perennial plants to specialty cut flower growers in The United States and Canada. In 1991 Joost and his wife Alexandra opened a European-style retail flower shop in New Canaan, CT, which they sold to their manager in 2002. During this time, Joost also imported flowers from Holland and was president of First American Florist, an online wholesale flower company shipping flowers from Holland started to do business with Florabundance, Inc becoming a partner in 2002 and eventually full owner in 2008.

Joost’s background and experience in selling flower bulbs to growers, importing cut flowers and running a successful retail flower shop provides a unique perspective from which he has developed the Florabundance brand into one of the premier wholesalers in the United States. Joost and Alexandra moved from Connecticut to California in 2008 and have two grown children.


 

Luis Cervantes
President and CEO of CalMex Wholesale Growers and Shippers Inc., and Fiorebella, Inc.

Luis started working in the floral industry in 1990 and is knowledgeable in all aspects of sales, growing, shipping, and accounting. Luis began his growing production in 1996 in the Valley Center area, and in 1997 CalMex opened its doors for business. Together with his wife, Esther, they were able to grow and eventually open a second operation in Watsonville in 2009, Fiorebella. Now in his 25th year as a business owner he is happy to work alongside two of his three children.


 

Pat Dahlson
CEO of Mayesh Wholesale Florist Inc.

Pat brings a wealth of floral industry experience to the CalFlowers Board, not only from his success at the helm of Mayesh Wholesale Florist, but from his previous leadership positions with the Wholesale Florists & Florists Suppliers Association (WF&FSA) and the Society of American Florists (SAF). 


Ben Dobbe
COO & Senior Sales Executive
Holland America Flowers, LLC

Ben is currently COO and Senior Sales Executive of Holland America Flowers, LLC. He immigrated from Holland in 1980 to Woodland Washington, where he worked on the family farm (Holland American Bulb Farms) throughout his childhood. In 1986, his family started All Seasons Flowers, now formally Holland America Flowers, for which he became Sales Manager in 2007.

He is past President of the Northwest Bulb Growers Association and is a current Board member for both CalFlowers and SAF. Flowers are his life!  Ben, his wife, and their four daughters moved to California in June 2012, where they currently reside.


 

Lisa FiliceLisa Filice
President, Regional Farms, Inc.

Lisa Filice is President and CEO of Regional Farms, Inc., a flower shipper of cut flowers and greenery established in 1982 and located in Northern California.  Prior to purchasing Regional Farms, Inc. in 2011 with her husband Michael, Lisa worked in Sales and Administration for Regional Farms and Wayne's Wholesale.

Lisa also owns Expressions Floral, a retail floral business specializing in weddings and special events throughout Northern California.  Lisa has been on the CalFlowers board since 2013.


Jason Kendall
CEO, Kendall Farms

Jason Kendall is the Chief Pilot at Kendall Farms in Fallbrook, CA.  He has 25 plus years of experience in the floral industry in growing, wholesale and mass market.  Jason serves on the board of the Fallbrook Food Pantry and is an Advisory Board member of Samaritan Aviation.  He also has real estate investments in multifamily and single family residences in 6 states.  He lives in Fallbrook with his wife Danielle and his two children.  He enjoys travel,  surfing, mountain biking, tennis, & pickleball.


 

Kim Kudo
Owner of Kim's Flower Network Inc.

Kim Kudo is the owner of Kim's Flower Network Inc., a flower company started in 1997 in southern California.  Before starting her own company, Kim worked as the Sales Manager at Frazee Flowers in Carlsbad and at Dramm & Echter in Encinitas.

Kim has held several positions during prior terms on the CalFlowers Board of Directors, including President, Vice President, Past President & Secretary /Treasurer.  She also chaired the biennial CalFlowers Fun ‘N Sun Convention numerous times and has been involved in the planning and execution of this event for many years.  Kim brings a very strong working knowledge of the California farm and supply base, as well as a lot of experience with the Association itself.

Kim Lives in Oceanside with her Husband Jeff and son Ty.


Cagney Miller
Sales and Operations Specialist, Mobi's Nursery

Cagney Miller is the Sales and Operations Specialist for Mobi’s Nursery in Carpinteria, CA. Her primary roles include managing their wholesale accounts, overseeing mass market production, and designing for their mass market sales and marketing division, B-Fresh Floral. 

In addition to being an integral part of the Mobi’s production team, she is also very involved on the farm side of the business, participating in crop selection based on both production needs and trends of the mass market industry. 

Cagney has 10+ years of floral industry experience, starting at Mobi’s sister company, Ocean Breeze Farms, where she held administrative roles and worked the company’s farmers markets. Over the years she has participated in both California Cut Flower Commission and Certified American Grown committees and been featured in Florists Review’s 35 Under 35.  

Cagney lives in Ventura with her husband, their two rambunctious sons, and two lazy cats.
